Jill Scott to release first album in 11 years ‘To Whom This May Concern’

Jill Scott is releasing her first album in 11 years, titled To Whom This May Concern, on February 13 — marking her first album since 2015’s Woman.

Scott wrote on Instagram: “Finally my new album entitled TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN drops Feb. 13th!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and THANK YOU for your patience and your listening ears.”

In a separate post about her collaborators, Scott shared: “To Whom This May Concern (my new album🥰) had and has a bevy of thoughtful, talented and focused folk to assist me on my work. Sometimes musician, sometimes, just a releasing friend to laugh with. We had fun!!! This 1st song is called “BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE” Creating takes a village.I’m sharing my beautiful people most literally. To Whom This May Concern “explores themes of love, growth, and life experiences, featuring collaborations with J.I.D., Ab-Soul, Tierra Whack, and Too $hort and production from DJ Premier, Trombone Shorty, and Om’Mas Keith.

Scott previewed the new project by sharing the lead single “Beautiful People,” as well as the follow-up track, “Presha.”
