ABC/Randy Holmes After hitting the top of the Billboard 200 chart for a ninth straight time with his latest release, Jesus Is KingKanye West is plotting to take over the White House, and legally change his name to ‘Billionaire.’

Speaking at the Fast Company Innovation Festival Thursday in New York City, Kanye said, “When I run for president in 2024,” and was met with laughter. Kanye responded, “What y’all laughing at? We would create so many jobs!”

Also at the festival, Kanye unveiled his new Yeezy sneaker with his head footwear designer, Steven Smith.  His Yeezy headquarters are in Cody, Wyoming where he owns a 4,000 acre ranch.

“Within the next two years, our goal is to bring the manufacturing back to America, South America, and North America,” he said, “and bring it back stateside, also to present jobs for people back here.”

Smith mentioned that their new sneaker was produced in Atlanta. “We’re going to bring jobs back here,” he said, “and we’re going to make Yeezys in America.”

With the success of his music and his fashion company, Kanye is ranked as the fourth-wealthiest hip-hop artist, with an estimated net worth of $240 million. But he’s upset that he’s not listed as a billionaire.

“I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year until y’all understand exactly what it is,” he said. “It will be on the license plate.”
