Homicide detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office served Michael Boatwright, 22, with an arrest warrant for first-degree murder on Tuesday. Boatwright was already in police custody after being arrested on July 5 on unrelated drug charges. Police say he is one of the two armed gunmen who confronted the rapper when he was killed on June 18. Boatwright is the second suspect arrested in the investigation.

Dedrick Williams, 22, was arrested June 21 in Deerfield Beach, Florida and charged with first-degree murder and grand theft auto.

XXXTentacion, born Jasheh Onfroy, was leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach when he was shot and killed.

Investigators are still seeking the second gunman, as well as Robert Allen, 22, who is described as a person of interest in the case. He is also wanted on a felony warrant for violation of probation for drug possession and carrying a concealed firearm.

Police say that just before 4 p.m. on June 18, Boatwright and another armed suspect apparently planned to rob Onfroy as he was leaving RIVA Motorsports. At least one of the suspects fired a gun, striking and killing Onfroy.
